J.Keith Donnelly was awarded a certificate (2013) for his orchid studies followed by a diploma (2016) of attendance in Advanced Botanical Arts from the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh in Scotland.
Since then he has evolved his botanical training undertaking artistic commissions. He has created botanical rendered shortbread biscuit moulds, which have become part of Scottish Sculpture Workshop's programme and launch of the 'Lumsden biscuit' Shortbread biscuit mould: Scottish Broom (2016) Additionally Keith is currently working with artist, Sylvia Grace Borda, to create a set of botanically inspired apple fruit sketches, which are being incorporated into a series of wall murals in the town of Aizpute, Latvia.

Of note Keith was invited in 2012 while a student at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh to produce a special set of botanic inspired ceramic ware for exhibition at the National Trust's Pollock House.
