Keith was invited to be the artist in residence at the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Queen's University Belfast in 2008-09. During this period, he assisted in the established of an interdisciplinary program that examined semiotics and art delivered by the School of English and the Department of Film, Photography and Visual Art.

As part of Keith's workload he mentored undergraduate and graduate students in applied art skills and visual art theory. Since this residency period, Keith has become a guest lecturer for the Summer International Academic Programme offered at the University of Stirling, Scotland (2012 to present). In his role as a lecturer at the University of Stirling Keith is leading modules on applied art learning, theory and history in both sculptural studies and imaging.
